How many participants can attend one session?
Attendance is limited to five to ten participants per camp session to foster in-depth, individualized discussion, and instruction.
Why do I have to "pre-register"?
Pre-registration is free! To pre-register, simply request, fill out our pre-registration form. Formal registration occurs after a minimum of four individuals have pre-registered for the same date. Please note that Spit Camp dates may be subject to change, pending pre-registration of at least four participants per camp. You will be notified in advance should a change occur.
Once at least four individuals have pre-registered for a particular date, you will be contacted for formal registration, at which time the Spit Camp fee will be collected. While we try our best to consider special circumstances and offer our camp on a variety of dates to accommodate busy schedules, we are unable to offer refunds once registration has been formalized and payment has been collected. Please contact Hillary Piccerillo (hpicceri@uci.edu) for further information about registration or with any questions you may have.
Is there a dress code?
While in the laboratory, you will be provided with laboratory coats to wear. No shorts or open-toed shoes are allowed for safety purposes. Please plan your attire accordingly.
